An electromagnetic wave is an entity wherein a space-changing and time-changing electric field creates a space- and time-changing magnetic field which in turn crerates an electric field and so on. Typically, the wave is started by causing a charge to accelerate and therefore to radiate energy as Maxwell had predicted. A random beam of light is such a wave
